FACING THE SUN is a cross stitch design based on Robin's "Towards the Sun" quilt pattern. A modern representation of flowers reach on tall stalks up to the sky in circular blooms. This mod garden is a play of color and negative/positive space within the blooms. Some flowers have simple linear details while others are solid or sport a band of accent color.
Chart size: 80 wide by 125 high. If stitched on 14 count over 1 or 28 count over 2, the stitched size is 5 3/4" x 9". 25 Count evenweave, over two, stitches out to 6 1/2" x 10". 32 Count linen over 2 is 5" x 7 7/8".
Model is stitched with Cosmo flosses on 25 count Pebble Vintage cloth from Zweigart. A DMC conversion is listed on back of pattern. The model was finished by framing in an 11 3/4" x 15 3/4" RIBBA frame from Ikea. The mat within the frame was wrapped with Thatched Gray 48626-85 fabric from Robin Pickens and Moda Fabrics, and was coated with matte Mod Podge.
Pattern booklet is a 5.5" x 8.5" paper booklet, with chart in color.
